Firstly, I would like to thank you all for your patience during this time. We have wanted to get in touch with you much sooner than this, but unfortunately the change in company has been a much bigger task than we first anticipated. Understandably a number of customers (ex Linesave and new Quantum Web Solutions) have been anxious about the changeover, but the majority of you have embraced this change and have already noticed an improvement in service.
Secondly, let’s get the formalities out of the way. I would like to introduce the management team of Quantum Web Solutions, or ‘Q’ as we like to be known.
Heading the newly formed Q are Managing Director, Lisa Salmon and Chairman, Bernie Hurley. Lisa works in the background of the company and is closely knit to the administration side of the business; however the person heading the company is her partner Bernie Hurley, who has an extensive background in sales, marketing and customer care.
|
|
Heading up our Sales Department is Steve Bebb (a soon to be Director). Some of you may recognise Steve as a familiar and friendly face, (or voice as you probably best know him).
New to the company is Paul Walker and he has taken on the role of Project Director. Paul has over 20 years experience in design and development, and has worked for household names such as Sony, where he won 2 BAFTAs as part of its production team.
Stuart Bloodworth has been promoted to Head of Design, and anyone who has worked with him will agree that his work is outstanding.
And then there is me. Quantum has also decided to keep myself on board as Head of the Customer Service department and Director of Operations. I am tinkering away in the background trying to ensure that the necessary systems are in place to ensure that any work in progress and ongoing customer care is being carried out to the highest standards possible.
Hopefully you have started to see the difference in the company and the care that you are receiving. For those of you who are not familiar with the changes, please visit my Customer Service section of the newsletter, where I would like to inform you of the main changes that have been made.
Kind Regards,
|

 Customer
Service...
Q has decided to keep on the bulk of the development and administration teams that it inherited. The main grounds for this decision were to minimise the disruption caused to customers by retaining the people who knew the existing system inside and out, and who had also built up a relationship with you. The other reason was that there was a fantastic skills base in place; all that was lacking were the systems and structure necessary to make it work effectively. Therefore (and this is where I come in) we have implemented new systems and created new departments that are better equipped to deal with the complex nature of the industry that we are in.
The main prerogative was to make customer care the main focus, therefore Q has created a bigger and more skilled customer care department. This is broken down into Website Support, Technical Support, SEO Specialists and Trainers.
When I first took on the role of Head of Customer Care, the main complaint that I heard was that customers didn’t know who to speak to at any given time (web development is a confusing business, I won’t deny it), therefore I have introduced the Website Support Team.
|
|
Each Quantum customer will now be assigned an Account Manager, who will become your main point of contact during your development. The Website Support Team (previously just the administration department), has been increased from two members to four, with the intention of further expansion to ensure that all of our customers are kept informed during each step of the project. Within this department we have Amy Smith (another familiar and friendly voice you may already know), and new to the department are Mike Harris, Jo Finch and Emma Carney.
Your Account Manager will handle all of the enquiries that you have and act as a mediator between you and your designer/coder. They will also remain your point of contact and be responsible for the aftercare of your website to ensure that you are fully supported during the first 12 months of your project.
We have also implemented a new Technical Support Team that is headed by Ben Wake,
|
|
with a new out of hours support number; as most people will be using websites in the evenings and weekends this is essential. Ben is responsible for any design fixes, whilst Dylan Pugh looks into anything of a coding nature and Neil Meardon is responsible for Server Support. Technical Enquiries are now looked into within 24 hours. If the enquiry is of a coding nature then the work will be organised via priority (critical fixes receiving highest priority – i.e. problems with payment gateways).
A further addition to our ongoing support is our SEO Specialists and Trainers. Previously, Erryn Deane was solely responsible for SEO and Product Training and Q have recently employed another SEO specialist who is making waves with all of our customers. Graham Large joined the company in the sales department, but his superior skills in SEO made him a perfect candidate for the SEO department. Most of your non-technical queries will concern how your website is ranking in the search engines. We want your business to be successful; therefore this addition has been welcomed by all. Amy Smith and Mike Harris are also Product Trainers and Jo Finch is currently training to become a Product Trainer.
Customer Care is at the forefront of Quantum’s work ethic, which is why the Customer Care department are dedicated to making your experience enjoyable and your business successful.

Testomials
To All at Quantum Web
I thought I should let you all know how extremely pleased we all are with the finished results of our new website.
Dealing with both trade and retail customers on a daily basis, I (Steve) felt it necessary to say that it has been a pleasure throughout dealing with true professionals.
From the initial contact made with Amy who managed the initial call, John and Mike who handled the design and finally Graham who took my questions and helped smooth out all the little problems (which I must say were very few and of my own design).
The training sessions were also a great help as I am a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to navigating my way around a computer.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Quantum Web to anyone looking to update or build a new site.
Once again a big thank you to all at Quantum Web.
Regards
Steve Orridge

Dear Amy,
You have just finished our new designed website www.hairandbeautyconnection.co.uk which we are really pleased with. We have found your staff very helpful, polite and tolerant with us. We found that during the site build the teething problems we had encountered were sorted very quickly and even now if there are any other issues they are rectified immediately.
I would like to commend Amy Smith for her help at the beginning of the site build in helping it get on its way, I would also like to commend Adam Lakin for the in-depth site build. Adam has had to put up with us emailing him "everyday" with requests that he has actioned immediately without any moans, thank you Adam.
With their new SEO backend system in place our new website although only six weeks live seems to be doing well in the search engines and generating orders, we can’t wait to see how well it should do with in the next coming months.
Many thanks to all your staff for contributing to our site and we look forward to continuing to work with you to make our site the best.

 SEO Help
& Advice...
Welcome to the first Quantum Web Solutions SEO newsletter. My name is Graham and I am your new SEO Specialist. Every month Erryn and I will be providing you with regular advice on how to optimise your website to achieve its true potential, and to stay ahead of the competition.
In this issue, we will discuss the importance of having plenty of unique content on your website.
Content Is King!
One of the oldest internet sayings is: “Content Is King,” and with the new developments surrounding Google, this statement has never been more accurate!
Google’s mission statement includes delivering unique, fresh and relevant content to the user. Content scoring is considered the most important factor in determining search engine rankings for keywords. Google crawls and reads the text content of every website that it indexes, this means that having keyword relevant text on your website is crucial towards securing good search engine results.
Google Caffeine – the latest evolution of Google – is soon to be launched, and will require websites to be enhanced and updated on a regular basis. All websites that are left stagnant and do not add new, unique content frequently will be down scored, directly effecting their search engine positioning. In other words, by adding new content, webmasters give Google a reason to revisit their websites!
|
|
Update your website content regularly by adding content wherever and whenever you can. This can include alterations or additions to existing text on the website, utilising RSS feeds, or by getting users to add to your content with product reviews, blogs or forum discussions. If Google sees new content every time it revisits your website, you will receive higher scoring.
Vague content or a lot of image based content can make a site difficult to be indexed properly by the main search engines. This can lead to poor search engine results, and can result in missed business opportunities.
Hits and Tips:
• To have a well optimised webpage there should be at least 250 words of text.
• Content should be original and not copied from another website; as duplicate content can have a negative effect on search engine results.
• Refrain from overloading pages with keywords; this could have a disastrous effect on the website’s content scoring.
• Consider using a news section with regular updates through press releases, company news, industry information and other relevant content.
Further Advice:
Here at Quantum Web Solutions we are able to provide you with a customised SEO Health Check for your website. Within the Health Check we will analyse your website’s content thoroughly, and provide necessary insight into what changes are needed to make the website rank more effectively.
If you would like to receive a full SEO Health Check for your website, please contact us on 08450 95 95 94 to discuss your requirements.
